First Machine Concepts!

I'd really like to focus on the core part of the mod, however since my machines main power source will be from Buildcraft's Minecraft Joules I needed to understand how they work.

This machine, which I may or may not name Crystal Ultracapacitor is a very complex machine. Its final purpose is still in concept stages. This machine has an inventory slot for a Crystal Cell, which stores energy. It visibly displays its current stored energy as a progress bar. Since you will be growing very different and complex crystals when you harvest and shape them into crystal cells they will have specific storage capacities. In addition to the energy storage, each side of the block requires a Crystalline Conduit in order to receive power from that side. You will be able to craft better conduits from other types of crystals you grow, harvest, and cut to precision.

The reason for this is because other mods that store this type of energy seem to think its fun to just make more and more of the same block and presto you got more storage and higher Input/Output. I'd like people to enjoy progression with my mod. If you want more power, work on growing better crystals and perfecting them with my many machines and tools included in this mod. If you have a engine system that generates insane amounts of power you cannot just connect to the basic crystalline conduit. You will need to craft better conduits to pass that energy into the machine.

Currently this machine only accepts power and stores it in the crystal. I have not yet decided if I want to make other power systems compatible with my energy storage machine due to balance between other mods and converting one energy type to another. I may allow conduits that let you drain the power from the crystal and send it to other machines.

Why charge a crystal? The goal of my mod, is to utilize ForgeMultipart. This means multiple parts/items/blocks in the same actual block space. Instead of opening up the GUI to my machine and putting conduits on, you will just be able to walk up to the capacitor and slap on your desired conduit to the specific side. The crystal you put on will also just be placed on. This means that the machine will look better and render the corresponding parts in 3D as desired. The crystals you grow are based on ForgeMultipart and this leads to very complex and beautiful crystals that can be grown based on your environment and methods. You will be able to take this crystal cell and put it in other machines to provide power to them.

I've spent about 0.1% of the time working on this machine actually making textures. These are temporary as the final version of the block will be rendering 3D multiparts and not 2D items.
